Berima Bungalows

Walking along Berrima Road a pair of semi-detached houses caught my eye in its composition and modern language.

The palette is clean and uncomplicated, with white washed walls and slit glass windows. A large timber and steel canopy acts as shelter for carpark. The mix of materials  - timber, white plastered walls, and glass was also proportionately done.

I like the way the design sits nicely in its surroundings waiting to be noticed, and doesn't shout with anything too loud.

The highlight of the house has got to be the roof top swimming pool encasesd in glass, that is slightly visible from the front facade. Well, at least it definitely is the highlight for the owner!

Designed cleverly as an infinity edge pool, it

There were some other interesting houses along the way as well...

And further along a familiar house that was designed by award-winning firm WOHA.
